Counseling: In-office counseling is available for children and youth ages four through eighteen and their families. Age-appropriate modalities like play, games, art, etc. are incorporated into therapy. Therapy can help with various issues such as divorce or separation, grief and loss, trauma, bullying, sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, family or child relocation, substance misuse, and mental health.

Community Outreach serves as a bridge between social services organizations and the community. They raise awareness about available resources, conduct outreach programs, and help to increase access to services for underserved populations. Counseling: Master’s level therapists are available to discuss feelings, grief, anger, trauma, abuse, divorce, ADD/ADHD and various behavior challenges with children and families.  Our services will also help them set goals through individual and family counseling.

Crisis Intervention: An unanticipated, unscheduled face-to face emergency intervention provided by a licensed therapist with access to licensed provider to resolve immediate overwhelming problems that severely impair the youth’s ability to function or maintain in the community.

School Based Outreach Services: Character Counts! The curriculum promotes the six pillars of character – respect, caring, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness and citizenship and is offered to Pre-K through 2nd graders. The Steps to Respect bullying prevention curriculum is offered to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and is designed to help students recognize, refuse and report bullying. Positive Action is centered on the Thoughts-Actions-Feelings Circle. When this cycle is positive, students want to learn.  The Botvin LifeSkills Training curriculum is offered to 6th thru 12th graders and encourages student to develop effective communication skills, coping techniques, skills for developing successful relationships and to identity the myths and misconception about alcohol, marijuana and tobacco use. Common Sense Education utilized as the curriculums. It is designed to empower students to think critically, behave safely and participate responsibly in our digital world by providing lessons on privacy and security, self-image and identity, digital footprint and reputation, relationships and communication, internet safety, cyberbullying and digital drama and information literacy

Individual Enrichment Groups for Pre-K through 12th grade: Individual one-on-one meeting or small groups of five to eight students. Students develop skills and strategies that enhance self-esteem, develop problem-solving and coping skills, reduce stress, manage anger and make healthy decisions. Students will strengthen their communication skill building, support and encouragement to achieve in the classroom, in the community and at home.

1-Eighty Program: Youth ages 13 thru 18 and their parents participate in a twelve-hour curriculum-based program designed to allow the youth and their parents to examine the reasons for the youth’s behavior and to develop skills to assist them in finding alternative behavior patterns. The prevention and diversionary program emphasize the relationship between behavior and consequences. Classes emphasize positive communication, anger management, smart choices, cultural diversity, substance education, responsibility and accountability.

Successful Futures: Youth ages 12 and under will attend a 12-hour (six week) course, including a condensed Botvin LifeSkills curriculum with focus on self-esteem, decision-making, dealing with stress and anger, accountability and developing positive meaningful relationships. This program also uses the Social Emotional curriculums CATCH and DBT Healthy Living for adolescents. The program can be tailored to the specific needs of the child, group or setting.

Protective Parenting: Ending Aces Protective Parenting is a parenting course designed to empower parents with the information and knowledge to make safe choices for their children. Parents gain understanding of how their childhood trauma can affect their parenting.  Topics covered in class include: the Aces Study and toxic stress, building protective capacity, the effects of domestic violence on children, the effects of a child being drug endangered, positive discipline, the myths and facts of child sexual abuse, the grooming process and prevention and safety regarding child sexual abuse.  The 8-week course is held in the evening time to accommodate working parents. Class sessions are in two-hour increments.
